...just as I suspected. America West is not the only carrier interest in obtaining that dormant LAS-DCA authorization from National Airlines. Today United Airlines filed papers requesting they be given that authority..but move it to LAX. Makes a lot of sense as LAX lost non-stop service to Reagan National when TWA acquired by AMR and AS successfully moved the authorization to SEA. Who's next?? RT Simpson Phoenix
