A plane belonging to Brazil's Rico Linhas Aereas airlines with 28 people aboard crashed Friday shortly after taking off from the airport in Rio Branco, in northwestern Acre state, TV Globo reported. At least three people survived. The plane, an Embraer Brasilia, crashed 1.5 kilometers (one mile) from the end of the airport's runway, amid heavy rainfall, Globo said.
