Apparently -- pilots on the PIT-LGW run work 6 days a month and get paid $325K per annum.

And apparently, if you measure yield and average fare, pilot and copilot earn 12% of total collected fares on that run -- not counting of couse FA's, ground crew, and other things sundry items like fuel, marketing costs, GDS fees, etc.  Oh, yes, and the cost of the aircraft itself.

Another classic case, like Eastern, of older unionized pilots depriving their children of anything close to the opportunities they once enjoyed.  When Frank Borman had the choice of liquidating Eastern or knuckling under to the pilots, he knuckled under, totally ignoring his reponsibility to shareholders -- they would have been $1.5B better off had they just shut their doors and sold everything.  US Airways should have gone away long, long ago.
