Interestingly I heard through the grapevine that many people in the trade think US is OK for now. But there is no doubt that others might fall - meaning the survivors are going to become profitable very quickly as the economy turns. With capacity reduced prices will go up. I believe that many of the older airplanes (732, 727, etc) will not fly people again, maybe cargo and mail. JetBlue has demonstrated that a startup does better with new planes (low maintenance) than using older birds. -----Original Message----- From: The Airline List [mailto:AIRLINE@LISTSERV.CUNY.EDU]On Behalf Of www.joepries.com Sent: Tuesday, July 30, 2002 8:56 AM To: AIRLINE@LISTSERV.CUNY.EDU Subject: Re: These Things Happen In 3s usair (sorry but they are the next best candidate) RT Simpson wrote:Last week...Midway This week...Vanguard Okay, who's next??
