PARIS, July 15 (Reuters) - FedEx Corp (FDX) on Monday said it has place=
d
orders for 10 Airbus A380 jets and options to acquire 10 more, in a boo=
st
to
the credibility of what will be the largest ever commercial jet liner.
The A380-800F cargo planes would be delivered to FedEx between 2008 and=
2011, FedEx said. The deal takes the number of firm orders for the A380=
to
95.
No further details were immediately available. The companies plan to
discuss
the agreement at a ceremony at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France,=
on
Tuesday.
Airbus is 80-percent owned by European aerospace group EADS (EAD)(EAD),=
with
the rest owned by BAE Systems Plc (BA) of the UK.
