Anyone heard the rumor that DL is trying to rid of their 777s? Apparently they cannot make money with it given the pilots' contract. I heard that Boeing used a DL 777 as a demo for South African in JNB during the recent sales campaign, and as they were doing a take off roll one on the engines blew....oops...SA decided they need more than 2 engines to fly their long thin routes....and the 340 got the nod.
