Media Advisory - Victoria - Calgary - Toronto Tango Inaugural Flight -
Celebrations and Photo Opportunity
VICTORIA, May 31 /CNW/ - Members of the Victoria media are invited to the
Victoria International Airport for celebrations and a photo opportunity to
mark the departure of Tango by Air Canada's inaugural flight from Victoria to
Calgary and Toronto on June 1, 2002.
Please proceed directly to the Air Canada check-in counter at the
Victoria International Airport at 14:15 to be escorted to the inaugural flight
that will take place beyond security at the departure gate. Following formal
remarks and a ceremonial ribbon cutting, media will have access to the tarmac
for the Tango aircraft departure at 15:25. Spokespeople from both Air Canada
and the Victoria Airport Authority will be available for comments.
