Subject: Boeing confirms Alaska Airlines order for 2 planes

SEATTLE, May 30 (Reuters) - The Boeing Co. (BA) on Thursday confirmed an
order from Alaska Air Group's (ALK) Alaska Airlines for two of its
single-aisle 737-700 aircraft, which have a combined value of about $100
million.
Boeing said the latest order, scheduled for delivery in 2003, brought the
number of 737-700s Alaska Airlines has on firm order with Boeing to 19. The
carrier runs a fleet of more than 100 Boeing aircraft, Boeing said.

Alaska Air Group, the No. 9 U.S. carrier, is the parent of both Alaska
Airlines and Horizon Air, which run routes mainly on the West Coast of the
United States.
