The estimated flying time to Hong Kong was 1 hour and 20 minutes. Some 20 minutes after takeoff, while flying at 35,000 feet, the aircraft disappeared off radar screens. Wreckage and bodies were found at sea, about 45km Northeast off the Penghu islands.
