Don't think it is Air India....mainly because Air India don't have any (let
alone 3) A300s to give away.

It would have to Indian Airlines, even though they only have approx 15 A300s
in their fleet.

Any bets that the aircraft to be donated to Ariana will be
VT-EDW/EDY/ELW ---- the oldest A300s (76-79) in their fleet?

May 9, 2002 Afghanistan's national carrier, Ariana Airlines, is to be given
three passenger aircraft to help rebuild the war-torn country's shattered
fleet.According to the BBC's World Service, Ariana will receive three Airbus
A300s as a gift from Air India. Indian pilots will fly the aircraft for the
first three months while Afghan pilots undergo training.The three planes are
among 23 due to be phased out by Air India which is modernizing its flee
