Funny, but isn't Newark in New Jersey not NYC. -----Original Message----- From: The Airline List [mailto:AIRLINE@LISTSERV.CUNY.EDU] On Behalf Of JoeThree@aol.com Sent: Sunday, April 28, 2002 9:46 AM To: AIRLINE@LISTSERV.CUNY.EDU Subject: Re: NYTimes.com Article: Slow Return as Hub for Aviation Another job well done for Geoffrey Arend. Mr. Arend was the main leader behind the preservation and restoration of several historic murals in the interior of the old Marine Air Terminal (now the Delta Shuttle terminal) at LGA, which Pan Am flying boats used in the 1930s and 1940's. At a time when too many cities are simply "throwing away" their aviation heritage, New York City is very fortunate to have someone like Mr. Arend fighting so hard to preserve it.
