I'm not sure about every airline or every airport, but Alaska Airlines has advertisements in the local paper for ramp service jobs at the Anchorage airport. Since all airlines increase service to Anchorage in the summer, there are a lot of seasonal jobs among the companies here, probably true of similarly-situated airports. They are usually entry-level jobs, and the companies provide the basic training, like airport codes and such. Good luck! Mike Here is what their web site says about the qualifications: Ramp Service Agents at Alaska Airlines load and offload luggage and cargo. Duties also include working in the cargo area of the aircraft, transporting luggage and cargo to various airport locations, maintaining ramp and warehouse areas, and pushing- back and de-icing our aircraft. The minimum requirements for the Ramp Service Agent position are as follows: *Valid driver`s license and excellent driving record *Ability to routinely lift 100 lbs. *Flexibility for shifts, including holidays and weekends. *Able to accept a starting wage of $9.10 per hour *Must be a non user of nicotine products for last six months *High School diploma or equivalent
