Well, alot of it depends on temperatures outside...number of
passengers...number of bags and weights...cargo load...etc...etc...etc.

I haven't heard of that specific flight having to do that, however, it
could be quite possible that was correct.  They might have run slightly
higher than cruise power on the turbines to make the head-wind times up.

Anyone else care to add...
