Continental Airlines Announces Plans for Daily, Nonstop Service Between New York/Newark and Jamaica Monday April 8, 9:48 AM EDT HOUSTON, Apr 8, 2002 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Continental Airlines (CAL) today announced that it will inaugurate nonstop service between Newark International Airport and Montego Bay, Jamaica, with continuing service to Kingston, Jamaica. The inaugural flight will depart Newark the morning of Dec. 12, 2002, continue to Kingston and return to Newark that same evening, pending government approval. "Jamaica is a prime tourist destination, especially during the winter months," said Continental Managing Director of Planning Buddy Anslinger. "Customers in the New York City area will now be able to fly to Jamaica nonstop on Continental, enjoying our award-winning service en route." Flights will use a 155-seat Boeing 737-800 following this schedule.
