If anyone is bored, try this in your browser:

http://www.flightview.com/fvTV/fvcgi.exe?qtype=TXT&ACID=BA117

Where BA117 is the flight #. (British Airways, Flight #117)

What you get back is cryptic but interesting.

H000011422LABA117 LHR JFK 09051052-069.37042.48B/B744/W 390 04900242
#/|

H000011422LA is rather meaningless (it incrementally counts as the data
changes)

BA117 LHR JFK is obvious
0905 - Scheduled (or actual) wheels up time, NOT gate departure time
1052 - Scheduled (or actual) touch down time, NOT gate arrival time
-069.37 - Longitude
042.48 - Latitude
B744 - Boeing 747-400
390 - Flight Level
0490 - Speed
242 - Direction
