Based on the report I saw tonight, they look like they might have their act together. The initial focus is on about 10 key cities. Using Syracuse as a hub is an interesting idea, especially because jetBlue has been talking more and more about pulling out of Syracuse because of light loads. If they are successful, though, I wouldn't be surprised to see jetBlue "suddenly" start to offer more than just SYR-JFK service. One thing to note... their website talks about 737-700s and -800s, but mentions delivery of their first three 737-300s in the next few months. An acquaintance of mine next-door neighbor is a founding investor. I've been checking their website for over year now for new updates and this latest press release is much more sound than the crap they were talking 6 months ago...flying a few different types of aircraft to various destinations from day 1...it had no real merit. I hope this is a positive change and sound plan. New York needs another Empire Airlines.
