Subject: American West says Continental ends code-share

PHOENIX, March 27 (Reuters) - America West Airlines Inc. (AWA) said on
Wednesday that Continental Airlines (CAL) will end code-sharing and other
agreements that generate $15 million to $20 million in revenue for the No. 8
U.S. carrier each year.
America West, the largest U.S. carrier to apply for federal loan guarantees
following the Sept. 11 attacks, said the code-sharing pact will end on April
26. Continental plans to end frequent flyer and airport club agreements on
Sept. 24.

Continental, the No. 5 U.S. carrier, and America West, a wholly owned unit
of America West Holdings Corp., have had a partnership for nearly eight
years, America West said.
