In ZURICH story headlined "'Swiss' could pay $500 mln in cash for Airbus
jets", please read headline as "'Swiss' could pay $500 mln in cash for used
jets".

In first paragraph, please read ...will pay $400 to $500 million in cash for
17 used aircraft it is buying from Swissair ...instead of ...could pay $400
million to $500 million in cash for 13 Airbus A340-300 planes made by EADS
(EAD)... (Corrects identity of planes' seller).

Please delete second paragraph, which makes incorrect reference to aircraft
that Swiss plans to buy from EADS.

A corrected story follows.

ZURICH, March 26 (Reuters) - New "Swiss" flag carrier (CROZn) will pay $400
million to $500 million in cash for 17 used aircraft it is buying from
Swissair (SWSZn), finance director Thomas Hofmann told a news conference on
Tuesday.

The airline also plans to replace 13 Boeing (BA) MD-11 long-haul aircraft
with Airbus A340-300 planes between 2003 and 2004. The MD-11s had been in
the fleet of the failed Swissair (SWSZn) airline which Swiss will replace
from March 31.
