-Houston's connection with Africa will now officially continue through the
end of 2004. World Airways and Sonair have agreed to extend their deal
providing twice-weekly MD-11 oil charters between Houston and Luanda, Angola
for another two years. The service is operated by World on behalf of Sonair,
the aviation wing of Angola's national oil company, SONANGOL. The agreement
will now stand through at least December 31st, 2004.

-The 757-300 is coming to Houston. Continental Airlines will be using their
newest aircraft type on a daily Newark-Houston and Houston-Las Vegas flight
starting April 7th. Schedules are as follows (all times local):
*CO Flight 111 Depart EWR 6:00AM Arrive IAH 8:45AM
Depart IAH 9:55AM Arrive LAS 11:07AM

-Continental is reinstating service to New York's John F. Kennedy (JFK)
airport from Houston on June 13th. This service was started in 2001 and was a
quick casualty of 9/11, but will now be restarted with two daily flights on a
737-500. In addition, CO will be adding a ninth daily flight to Newark,
giving IAH nineteen flights a day to the three New York area airports.

-United Airlines will be expanding their service in Houston. Effective June
7th, they will add a sixth roundtrip on Chicago (O'Hare)-IAH and a seventh
roundtrip on Denver- IAH, giving them a total of fourteen flights a day.

-Northwest Airlines will be reinstating their fourth roundtrip on Memphis-IAH
effective June 5th, with an A319. This flight was lost after 9/11 when
Northwest cut the fourth bank of flights out of their Memphis hub, a bank now
being renewed. Detroit flying will also be increased with the renewal of a
fifth daily service being flown with a DC-9. Total Northwest will have
fourteen flights a day at IAH. Northwest has also opened up express security
check lines for its premium customers in Terminal B.
