Pure scheduling tools (such as Star Alliance's own PDA tool) are based on tools that completely ignore fares. If you go to Flightlookup.com, the same company (Goldenware) makes the Star Alliance (and United) PDA schedule. OAG as the same flaw. My guess is that a 'routing' through YYZ from the US would garner the equivalent fare of separate flights, or something fairly close. Though from a timing point of view, a YYZ connection is likely not as bad as it might sound if you are heading to LGA, BOS etc. Matthew > -----Original Message----- > From: The Airline List [mailto:AIRLINE@LISTSERV.CUNY.EDU] On > Behalf Of Scott Kinniburgh > Sent: February 21, 2002 8:39 AM > To: AIRLINE@LISTSERV.CUNY.EDU > Subject: Re: Cabotage > > > I see this is a little more complicated than I thought..... > > How does one book an AC flight from the US to US via YYZ if > there are no published fares...? > > Being an Aeroplan member and AC being my first choice for all > International Travel, I personally would rather do all my > cross country routings thru YYZ....and perhaps sneak some > duty free too! > > Scott SFO >
