Hello Folks,

Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena (BUR) Airport has been hard at work at the most
eastern end of the runway... from where the Southwest 737-300 jumped off from
onto Hollywood Way Blvd. Every night for what seems to be now a very long
while they have been working on Soft Cement. It is however, at the very end
of the runway. Could this new technology have stopped the "First" Southwest
accident from happening...? Maybe. Before this accident, there were
several, and if poor english applies... Many Several Almost, accidents that
would have caused a similar accident.

To dispel rumors... The Chevron gas station across the street from the end of
the runway is still there and under the same ownership of the night of the
accident. How do I know? I work for Enterprise Rent-a-Car and use that gas
station several times a week to refill cars that have been returned "other
than full" of gas.

Oh yeah, by the way... Almost all of the near accidents similar to the one
that night have been in fact... Southwest 737s. My next door neighbor was on
one of these almost near accident flights and recalls having to be pushed
back because the nose was almost touching the blast fence at the end of that
same runway.

Take Care all.
