   (01-22) 14:47 PST INDIANAPOLIS (AP) --
American Trans Air recalled more than 600 of the 1,100 employees the
airline furloughed during the slowdown that followed Sept. 11.
ATA, the principal subsidiary of Amtran Inc. and the nation's 11th-large=

attacks.
ATA has now recalled its entire staff of 400 flight attendants as well as

The Indianapolis-based airline said Tuesday it will reinstate certain
employee benefit programs that had been cut to save money during the third
