And it matches the documentation of AC_LINK_IFELSE that says that AC_LANG_CONFTEST is used in the default case: If INPUT is nonempty use the equivalent of ‘AC_LANG_CONFTEST(INPUT)’ to generate the current test source file; -- Pat
