How to create a temporary subdirectory for a test?

Hi everybody,

I want to write some Autoconf test which checks the $FC for how to find
module files at other places (this is usually either -I<dir> or
-M<dir>). For this, I'll have to create some temporary directory <dir>
to search in. My question is: What is the best practice to do so?

Thanks and best,

Nicolai
