how to install a bashcompletion file?

Hi

I'd like to install a bashcompletion file that comes in the tarball for a GNU program I'm mantaining (source-highlight). The file should be installed in an etc subdirectory that bashcompletion uses.

Actually, it's not clear to me which the best to do that with autotools would be.

In a previous post ("checking an environment variable") I was trying to detect in configure whether the directory used by bashcompletion existed, but unfortunately, the environment variable BASH_COMPLETION_DIR is not exported, so configure does not detect it...

any clue please?

google did not provide me with any clue...

thanks in advance
	Lorenzo
