They're listening, good patches to add support for D are certainly
welcome.  Send them to the {automake,libtool}-patches lists, preferably
against the latest CVS versions.  If you have questions, feel free to
ask them, preferably on those lists, too.

Please note that the necessary changes to each of the tools are likely
to exceed the limit of copyrightable changes.  This means a copyright
assignment or disclaimer will be needed.  I'll contact you off-list.

(Esp. for patches that are rather generic, I much prefer to have legal
issues out of the way before I read actual patches: if I end up being
the one implementing the feature, and since its patch will be rather
straightforward, it's likely it will look very similar to a proposed
patch; while this means there is little originality in the change, it
also means that I may just have a harder time because of having to argue
that, and that I did write it independently of the other proposed patch;
I just prefer to avoid those extra worries if I can.)
