I'm not good at naming things.  AC_SUBST_TRACE (like
AC_DEFINE_TRACE) or AC_OUTPUT_VARIABLE ?

I didn't want Automake to output such useless variable definition.
But if Autoconf tells Automake to do it, it's no longer my problem :)

I'm all for clean interfaces.  No exceptions.  If Autoconf tells
Automake to define it, let's define it.
