For clarity, I have not asked anyone here to *DO* anything. I have stated a problem, and under duress / challenge, provided ample motivation for the problem. I've learned that the next step is to see how much of a Mingw installation does or doesn't work for reaching my goal. I've learned that, seemingly, no one has developed an off-the-shelf solution for this goal. I don't know why open source developers always interpret questions or statements as requests. They inevitably seem to do so, however. It's like the response is "I don't want to have to care about that" rather than "this is or isn't possible, this has or hasn't been done." Six months ago I did 1/2 of the work of trying to solve this problem myself, and I came up short. So I thought this time, I'd ask questions.
