Since nobody answers to my post, I will  ;-)

I am using --disable-dependency-tracking as a configure option to avoid this problem. What kind of dependency can I expect to fail with this?

I don't understand this "dependency-tracking"... why does it recompile every .cpp listed on convenience libraries? (this is the same as the above question in a different format)
