Does HTTPS also work for both client and server Yum's tools?

Hello,

When I look at the Yum’s documentation, only unsecure protocol are mentioned: ftp/file/http

I’m looking to put a private repository on Internet and so I don’t want the rpm packages be sent unencrypted over the wire.

How people do that?

Cordially,

Sébastien
