HI Seth ,

[root@srmhyd ~]# rpm -q --provides python-elementtree-1.2.6-4.2.1.99_12.el4.at
cElementTree.so
python-elementtree = 1.2.6-4.2.1.99_12.el4.at
[root@srmhyd ~]#

I have installed the corresponding  rpm which  provides  /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/cElementTree.so shared library and I have set the path in LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable also , but while running yum , it is giving  error as that there is no such file
thought he required shared library file is  present  ,

Thanks & Regards ,
shashidhar

what provides /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/cElementTree.so?
