On the x86_64 systems I am bumping into this quite a bit:
file /usr/share/....fileX in PKG.x86_64 conflicts with file from
PKG.i586 (or i386)
These packages are trying to write out the same man pages or other docs
to the exact same file. It would seem that there needs to be some type
of versioning related to documentation so that you could have multiple
versions of the same package installed.
The next question is how do you get around this problem. I've had to
use 'rpm --force' to get by this type of problem. Is that the only
solution?
Regards,
Gerry
