For instance having an older bzip2-libs.i386 is not _as_ bad > as having two versions of the .x86_64 package. Unfortunately it seems there are two versions of the x86_64 arch packages: bzip2-libs.x86_64 1.0.3-4.el5_2 installed bzip2-libs.x86_64 1.0.3-3 installed >> Is this a known issue? I know, I have been tracking RHEL since 5.1 on another set of servers, however these servers were setup from a 5.2 base repository. > For the cleanup you probably want to install yum-utils and run: > package-cleanup --dupes --problems # This will show you problems > package-cleanup --cleandupes # This should auto fix any dup problems Thank you, running: package-cleanup --problems package-cleanup --dupes package-cleanup --cleandupes Did indeed work it didn't find any "problems", but dupes were detected and cleaned. It seems the version I have of package-cleanup didn't like two tasks at once. Really appreciate the input, thanks!
