I am trying ti use yum to install tcpdump onto my FC6 system (which is actually a jailtime VM, executing on xen)
> yum install tcpdump
...
the final response is:
Transaction Check Error: package tcpdump-39.4-11.fc6 is intended for a x86_64 architecture
package glibc-common-2.5-18.fc6 is intended for a x86_64 architecture
package glibc-2.5-18.fc6 is intended for a x86_64 architecture
but...
> uname -a
Linux domU1 2.6.18.8-xen #2 SMP Fri Mar 21 21:17:37 EDT 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
According to the FAQ, yum should download both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of tcpdump, but it doesn't seem to do that...
