why does "yum search" repeat results?

(apologies if this shows up twice, i forgot to be subscribed to the
list when i posted earlier.)

is there a reason that "yum search" might generate duplicate
entries? for instance:

$ yum search docbook
Loading "downloadonly" plugin
docbook-dtds.noarch : SGML and XML document type definitions for DocBook.
perl-Text-WikiFormat.noarch : Translate Wiki formatted text into other formats
docbook-utils-pdf.noarch : A script for converting DocBook documents to PDF format.
docbook-style-xsl.noarch : Norman Walsh's XSL stylesheets for DocBook XML
gnome-doc-utils.noarch : Documentation utilities for the GNOME project
openoffice.org-xsltfilter.i386 : Extra xsltfilter module for openoffice.org
docbook-simple.noarch : Simplified DocBook is a small subset of the DocBook XML DTD.
postgresql_autodoc.noarch : PostgreSQL AutoDoc Utility
php-pear-DB.noarch : PEAR: Database Abstraction Layer
docbook-dtds.noarch : SGML and XML document type definitions for DocBook.
docbook-utils-pdf.noarch : A script for converting DocBook documents to PDF format
docbook2X.i386 : Convert docbook into man and Texinfo
docbook-slides.noarch : DocBook Slides document type and stylesheets
php-pear-PhpDocumentor.noarch : The complete documentation solution for PHP
docbook-utils.noarch : Shell scripts for managing DocBook documents
docbook-utils-pdf.noarch : A script for converting DocBook documents to PDF format
...

you can see that there's already three lines of output for
docbook-utils-pdf.noarch. is that deliberate?
