I have re installed yum after i messed up the etc/yum.conf file
Sounds like overkill, but where / how did you do that ? That will help
in working out what is wrong.
rpm -qa \*rpm\* \*yum\* \*python \*python-urlgrabber |sort
i have replaced the yum.conf file with with one i have downloaded from
the net
i get this error
bash: ./yum: is a directory
[my name@localhost yum-3.2.7]$ cd bin
[my name@localhost bin]$ ls
yum.py yum-updatesd.py
[my_name@localhost bin]$ ./yum.py
There was a problem importing one of the Python modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was:
cannot import name Errors
What does the following say ?
python
>>> import yum
