Hello,
We have a multi
platform environment, with SLES 10 and SUSE 7.0.
Yum and its
dependency are available for SLES 10, and we installed it and it is working
fine.
But SUSE 7.0 has the
following and cannot be upgraded as of now.
:~ # rpm --version
RPM version 3.0.4
:~ # rpm -qa | grep python
python-1.5.2-169
python23-doc-2.3.2-1
python23-2.3.2-1
:~ #
RPM version 3.0.4
:~ # rpm -qa | grep python
python-1.5.2-169
python23-doc-2.3.2-1
python23-2.3.2-1
:~ #
This environment
does not satisfy even the first release yum.
Is there any
possibility to successsfully compile and install yum with this environment. I
mean i can add some other add on. But the RPM version cannot be
changed.
If iam able to
compile successfully somehow. Will it be able to read the repository created by
createrepo in SLES 10 which is the latest?
Can someone help me
on this?
Thanks &
Regards,
