Hi Yum List,
I'm running my own repository containing a bunch of custom RPMs for
proprietary software. The repository contains MANY versions of each
piece of software.
I am able to install a arbitrary version of the software using the
syntax 'yum install rpmname-ver'. I would like to update a rpm to a
version that is higher than the installed rpm version but not the
highest. I can't seem to figure out how to do this.
Yum update does update to the highest version but, why can't I get at
these intermediate versions?
For example:
*yum search qmesh-media-info *
qmesh-media-info.x86_64 2.0.2.8-16819
qmesh
Matched from:
qmesh-media-info
qmesh-media-info.x86_64 2.0.2.1-15986
qmesh
Matched from:
qmesh-media-info
qmesh-media-info.x86_64 2.0.2.0-15767
qmesh
Matched from:
qmesh-media-info
*yum install qmesh-media-info-2.0.2.0*
*installs qmesh-media-info 2.0.2.0*
DOES NOT WORK:
*yum install qmesh-media-info-2.0.2.1
yum update qmesh-media-info-2.0.2.1*
*yum list available qmesh-media-info 2.0.2.1*
Lists nothing
Any ideas?
I really don't want to have to install the latest then downgrade using
that allow-downgrade plugin =)
Thanks in advance,
Nolan
