Hi,

I am using Fedora 6, and both Livna and Freshrpm's repositories. I know this is
not recommended, as both repositories have the same packages, and as I noticed,
sometimes they conflict. In conflict I mean Livna trying to update Freshrpm's
packages, and Freshrpm trying to update Livna's. I always use
--disablerepo=livna,freshrpms when updating, but I was wondering if there is a
better solution for this, like telling livna not to update freshrpm's packages,
and vice-versa.

investigate the yum-protectbase plugin, does exactly that.
