[Yum] install progress without tty

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi there,

for the next version of the OSCAR cluster stack I've introduced yum as smart
package manager. It fulfills a lot of tasks and is a huge progress towards our
previous method of installation. Because building a cluster node image takes
pretty long, we need some sort of progress output from yum. Unfortunately this
is inhibited when yum output is not a tty (eg. a pipe).

Would you mind adding the attached patch? When the output is to a tty it
works as before. When the output is redirected only the 100% message is
printed once per installed rpm.

Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Erich
