[Yum] Parser error

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I manage 11 FC boxes that get nightly updates using yum. About two or
three times a week, I get this error:

//var/cache/yum/updates-released/repomd.xml:1: parser error : Start tag expected, '<' not found
This site is a Mirror for:
^
Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: updates-released
Error importing repomd.xml from updates-released: Error: could not parse file //var/cache/yum/updates-released/repomd.xml

When I check the machine, it has a proper repomd.xml, so I assume yum
went elsewhere and found it. This is an FC3 machine.

Is this the result of an improperly set up mirror?

Is there any way to identify the mirror and either get the owner to
fix things or take the site out of the mirror list?

Cheers,
