I have been google'ing this issue since yesterday when I discovered it. When I try to use yum i get an error when trying to pull down extras. yum update Setting up Update Process Setting up repositories updates-released 100% |=========================| 951 B 00:00 extras 100% |=========================| 1.1 kB 00:00 base 100% |=========================| 1.1 kB 00:00 Reading repository metadata in from local files http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/extras/4/i386/repodata/primary.xml.gz: [Errno 4] IOError: HTTP Error 400: Server: Squid/2.4.STABLE7 Mime-Version: 1.0 Date: Fri, 13 Jan 2006 17:43:32 GMT Content-Type: text/html Content-Length: 1015 Expires: Fri, 13 Jan 2006 17:43:32 GMT X-Squid-Error: ERR_INVALID_REQ 0 X-Cache: MISS from MY-HOST Proxy-Connection: close Trying other mirror. Error: failure: repodata/primary.xml.gz from extras: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. I know there is some proxy issues with yum, however I have been using wget for 1 year on the same box and fixed the proxy issue by specifying the http_proxy in my profile, also I have access to the proxy and firewall at work, and I have implemented a rule where the server doesnt go through the proxy server, however with yum while some seem to download I have a problem with this one in particular. Any thoughts?
