Thanks for the info, I did as instructed above, and this's what I got

(prompt)# python
Python 2.3.4 (#1, Feb  2 2005, 12:11:53)
[GCC 3.4.2 20041017 (Red Hat 3.4.2-6.fc3)] on linux2

 Where is it looking for 'yum' module...

  Welll..., I did download a yum source from http://linux.duke.edu/projects/yum/download/2.4/ 
and installed it...before doing(installing) that, yum's crying about 
python version and availability of libraries, as explained in 
http://wiki.linux.duke.edu/YumFaq#Q7...and after installing yum-2.4, it 
gave that long message and link to this mailing list...Thanks!
