Sorry if you did this work on my behalf - I clearly made a mistake.

I'm pretty lost here, to be honest, and hope another yum type can help you.  

The only thoughts I have: 

-why use ftp instead of http?  
-does it work when you point the yum.conf directly at the
mirrorservice.org site instead of your local mirror?
