hello, im using FC3 as my platform for creating a snort IDS.Now im requiered to upgrade the MySQL database from 3.23 to 4.0 or above.But when im trying to install MySQL by the RPM install,it shows me failed dependencies error,which are already present on the system. If i try to upgrade these dependencies by the rpm their confinguration files conflict. Can someone please tell me if yum can be used for this ugrade,alongwith all its dependencies?
