Hi, i've installed yum-2.3.3-1 on my fresh installed (minimum install) rhel4 update 1, i used the yum-2.3.3-1.src.rpm from yum site and rebuild it. i resolved all the dependenices for yum by installing: python-elementtree-1.2.6-1.2.el4.rf.noarch.rpm - from dag python-sqlite-0.5.0-1.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm - from dag python-urlgrabber-2.9.6-1.noarch.rpm - got the source from fc4 and rebuild it sqlite-2.8.16-1.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm - from dag when i'm trying to run "yum list" i get: The yum libraries do not seem to be available on your system for this version of python 2.3.4 (#1, Feb 2 2005, 11:44:49) [GCC 3.4.3 20041212 (Red Hat 3.4.3-9.EL4)] Please make sure the package you used to install yum was built for your install of python. any one now what may be the problem?
