Hello Seth, Can I ask yum to download something that provides what I specify? An example may be better. I may know that I need XFree86-devel. But XFree86-devel is provided by several packages. XFree86-devel.rpm and xorg-x11-devel.rpm and what I really want (but of course don't know) is that it is the latter I want. (given that I am in an xorg environment) Karsten
