Hello, I setup a local yum repository on a fedora core 3 box. The box serves both fedora core 2 and fedora core 3 updates. I have run both the yum-arch and createrepo for both. The yum server seems to work, as I have updated 4 boxes from this server. In order to talk to the yum server, all 4 boxes mentioned above are set up to go through a proxy. I believe my http_proxy is set correctly as the boxes do update. However, the problem I am having occurs when I try to update a file that contains + (plus) characters. It appears the http proxy interprets plus's as %2B. For example, when trying to update gcc-c++-3.4.3-22.fc3.i386.rpm the following occurs: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/yum/redhat/fc3/updates/i386/gcc-c%2B%2B-3.4.3-22.fc3.i386.rpm [errno 4] The file gcc-c++-3.4.3-22.fc3.fc3.i386.rpm is present and even tried copying the original to a name that contains the %2B. I am not a wiz with proxy's, but it appears there is an interpretation problem somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this. I am usually able to find the answer online, but this one has stumped me. Thanks dave
