[Yum] yum/python problem

Hello,

I have been using yum to successfully update the FC3 installation on my
Dell laptop for a few months, but now I've run into some problems. I was
running yum a couple of days ago, and one of the packages to be updated
was python-2.3.4-13.1. After I told yum it was OK to update the packages
it had selected for update, I walked away for a few minutes only to
return and find all sorts of unintelligible characters scrolling across
the terminal as if yum had gotten itself into some sort of infinite
loop. I couldn't stop things with Ctrl-C or Ctrl-D, so I closed the
Gnome terminal window. Now when I try to run yum, I get the following
error message:

/usr/bin/python: error while loading shared libraries:
libpython2.3.so.1.0: cannot open shared object file: Error 40

I'm still not much more than a novice Linux user, so any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike Detwiler
