Hi John, you are looking at an outdated mirror site. Since RH 9 is no longer supported (by RedHat), you probably want to use something like Fedora Legacy to keep your box updated. They are still releasing packages for RH 9. http://www.fedoralegacy.org There should be a yum.conf on their website you can use to point to their mirror. -Jeff On 1/11/05 4:52 AM, "John Fox" <fedora@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi, > > I installed yum 2.0.7...rpm on my server; OS RH9, went to update the system > and recieved this message: > > "Upgrading all packages with command yum -y update .. > retrygrab() failed for: > > http://mirror.dulug.duke.edu/pub/yum-repository/redhat/9/i386/headers/header.i > nfo > Executing failover method > failover: out of servers to try > Error getting file > http://mirror.dulug.duke.edu/pub/yum-repository/redhat/9/i386/headers/header.i > nfo > [Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error > > Gathering header information file(s) from server(s) > Server: Red Hat Linux 9 - i386 - Base > .. upgrade failed!" > > any ideas on the solution to this problem. > > Regards, > > John Fox.
